Beehives at golden hour in the Similkameen Valley near Princeton, British Columbia
The Foraging Bee topography honeybee master seal

Princeton · British Columbia

Uncompromised goods from one valley, one season, one hive at a time.

Elite apicultural and wild-crafted provisions founded by Master Beekeeper Mark Vanderende. Single-origin hive goods, botanical field topicals and immersive wilderness education.

Connect

Thirty years at the hive entrance. Every jar and tin is traceable to a yard, a bloom and a season in the Similkameen.

Explore

Field-tested topicals built for ridgelines, river crossings and cold camps — not bathroom shelves.

Sustain

Live hive rescues, wasp management and native pollinator advocacy for our Mason and bumble bee neighbours.

The Maker

Thirty years of hands in the brood nest.

Mark Vanderende keeps bees on the dry benches above the Similkameen River, where sage, alfalfa and wild clover set the character of every harvest. His standard is simple and unforgiving: colonies must be Happy, Healthy and Heavy before a single frame is pulled.

What the hive gives beyond that becomes honey, propolis, pollen and the botanical topicals our field testers carry above treeline.
